A Healing Home

When Families Can't Be Together

Every child deserves to grow up in a safe family setting, but there are times when that’s not possible—because of abuse, neglect, severe behavioral challenges, or family conflict. In those moments, O’Connell Children’s Shelter provides structured, trauma-informed residential care. Our homes give youth stability, safety, and the chance to begin building toward brighter futures.

What We Provide

Residential care provides a supportive alternative until youth can safely reunite with family, transition to permanency, or become an independent member of our community. Youth in our homes experience far more than just a place to stay through a program of stability, healing, and growth.

Our role is to ensure immediate safety while helping every young person move toward permanence-whether through reunification with family, kinship care, or independence into adulthood.
