Early Intervention to Keep Youth in School
Early Intervention
to Keep Youth in School
When youth begin to miss school regularly, they are missing valuable instructional time and signals a significant risk for academic struggles impacting overall educational achievement. Truancy Prevention provides early, supportive intervention to help students and families address barriers to school attendance before they result in long term and/or legal consequences.
How Truancy Prevention Works
Each student in the program is paired with a dedicated case manager who monitors attendance and academic progress while helping identify barriers like transportation issues, anxiety, or family conflict. Case managers collaborate closely with families, schools, and community partners to encourage consistent communication and help students rebuild confidence and routine.
